Quality Manager – Luton, Bedfordshire Reporting to the Operations Director the Quality Manager will be responsible for developing and managing company quality standards such as ISO 9001, ISO45001 & ISO14001 as well as facilitating both internal and external audits and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and right first time. What you will do: • Management responsibility for Quality Assurance and Welding personnel and associated policy and procedures. • Management of product quality. • Responsible for the Health and welfare of all employees in their team, their Safe working practices (safe systems of work), enforcement of always wearing appropriate PPE, and instructing in the companies’ HS&E systems and controls. • Where appropriate, ensuring that any team members with supervisory responsibilities are discharging their responsibilities and authorities in relation to HS&E. • Act as the product quality representative for the company. • Mentor new and existing employees on our Quality Management System and processes. • Preparation and maintenance of product specifications and process procedures. • Manage the quality systems and procedures (QMS, BMS). • Develop and promote the Non-Conformance system (CAPA IT). • Provide support to production for process/procedure training. • Ensuring changes in QA/QC specifications are reflected in accordance with relevant projects. • Monitoring and incorporating changes to QA/QC compliance incorporating relevant design codes (ASME, API, etc.). • Control of welding standards. • Provide quality support to other functions as required (eg Sales, Operations, Engineering). • Lead or participate in quality improvement projects. • Lead or participate in internal supplier QA audit activity. • Ensure ownership of databook delivery. • Manage training & development process for the department.
