What we’re looking for The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for supporting the Buyer and Procurement Manager in the day-to-day procurement of commodities, including raw materials(not for the commercial project) and energy, maintenance and repair related consumables and materials required for operations (consumables and PPE) required for the safe and efficient production of monopiles. Interaction with Receiving, Inventory and related resources required to minimize lost / misuse of material or any associated cost. Plan, execute, and provides purchase requisitions and purchase orders to suppliers for materials, parts, supplies and equipment in a timely and cost effective manner, while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications met. Matches receivers and invoices to purchase orders for correct A/P billing Maintain all procurement files and assure system is in compliance. Placing and recording purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner. Developing an in-depth understanding of materials, products, processes, and suppliers. Ensuring controls have been carried out and stock records are up to date. Updating and maintaining a stock database with costs and supplier information, including developing Bill of Materials (BOM) calculation and updates for all products. Assisting with production planning, pairing material requirements with projects. Attend handover meetings ensuring supplier procurement is carried out in line with Production Team requirements. Maintain detailed rolling work schedule. Update supplier data-base, as required. Have the ability to adopt a pragmatic, yet disciplined approach to process compliance. Keep abreast of market developments, demand trends and risks and ensure that client’s requirements are understood for the benefit of our clients and projects. Focus on delivering added value through technical competence, functional knowledge and process efficiency. Ensure all documentation is collated and stored in line with company policies Carry out any reasonable request of a similar nature as directed by Senior Management.
